Adventure Map:
the full guide
We have curated a portfolio of recommendations into an interactive 'choose your own adventure' map we encourage folks to experience for themselves, alone, in a small group, or with others. For all to memory-make and discover Nashville as we have, we will be at pre-selected locations and times for folks to gather with us Sat & Sun, while allowing it to also be about the city that we love!

Where do we need to be on Friday?
The ceremony is at 1:00 PM at The Temple, 5015 Harding Pike. Arrive by 12:45. Dress is semi-formal afternoon or evening attire. As a reminder, the ceremony is in a synagogue. Then join us 7:30–9:30 PM for the Evening Celebration at Pont Neuf Wine Bar, 3820 Charlotte Ave, Ste. 147 (smart casual).
More detail: The Temple is Congregation Ohabai Sholom in Belle Meade. The Evening Celebration at Pont Neuf Wine Bar is in The L&L, near Sylvan Park and West End, with wine and desserts. Both are in the Schedule under Friday, October 9th, each with Show on map, What's nearby and Get directions.
Where will you be on Saturday and Sunday?
All over town, and you're welcome to drop in. Scroll down to the Schedule, right under the map, and tap Saturday, October 10th or Sunday, October 11th. Every plan has Show on map, What's nearby and Get directions.
More detail:
Saturday, October 10th1:00 AM to 3:30 PM: Pins Mechanical Co., 1102 Grundy St, Ste. B. Family-friendly games, and plenty of sports on.
5:30 to 7:30 PM: Assembly Food Hall at Fifth + Broadway.
7:30 to 8:00 PM: Tootsies Orchid Lounge, 422 Broadway.
8:00 PM to midnight: Broadway honky-tonks and live music. We'll be somewhere down there.
Sunday, October 11th11:30 AM to 2:00 PM: Neuhoff District, 1312 Adams St.
2:30 to 5:00 PM: Harding House Brewing Co., 410 39th Ave N.
Stay as long or as little as you like.
How do I see only your plans?
Turn on the Show only where M&N will be switch. It's in three places, the bar at the very top, the Schedule and the Locations List, and all three move together. The map and the List narrow to the places where we'll be, and the day you pick in the Schedule decides which plans show. Type filters never hide our plans. While the switch is on, any type you picked is set aside, and its chip says "(paused)".
To see everything again, turn it off, or tap Show everything on the chip at the bottom of the map.
What do the gold rings, name tags and our photo mean?
A gold ring marks a place where we'll be: a bold ring for the day picked in the Schedule, a faded ring for other days. The picked day's plans get name tags with the time, plan and place. During the weekend, our photo sits on the plan happening right now with a green NOW tag, or on our next plan with a blue NEXT tag when nothing's on.
Tap it for a card with the same Now and Next as the Schedule, plus See the Schedule ↓ to jump there. The Schedule also opens on today. All times are Nashville time.
What happens when I tap a plan in the Schedule?
The page scrolls up to the map and flies to that place. The buttons under each plan do the rest: Show on map, What's nearby (everything around that spot) and Get directions
2. Plan a day
How do I find something specific?
Type it in the search bar: a place, a neighborhood, or just a craving like coffee, tacos, brunch or live music. Press Search to see every match at once.
To narrow things down, tap Filters in the map's menu, then tap a type or a neighborhood. All shows everything again.
More detail: Search understands everyday words, so try dessert, bbq, honky tonk, museum, bowling or even wedding.
Neighborhood names work too, including The L&L. Matches stand out on the map, the Locations List narrows to them, and matching plans light up in the Schedule.
After you press Search, the bottom of the map shows the count; from there, Show all on the map (offered when 2 or more match) or See all in the Locations List.
With filters on, results the List leaves out are marked "(outside your filters)", and the search chip counts them, like "(4 outside your filters)".
How do the filters work?
Types: everything shows at first. Tap a type to show only that kind, tap more types to add them, and tap All to bring everything back. Our plans never disappear: one that doesn't match stays on the map, faded.
Neighborhoods: tap one to fly there, outline it and fade the rest. Tap more to see several (the chip reads Multiple and a number), or tap Districts (neighborhoods) to pick them all. Tap a neighborhood again to clear it.
The number on each button shows how many places match. Whatever is turned on appears as a chip at the bottom of the map: Clear (or Show everything) undoes it, and List shows the matches as a list.
Can I see everything as a list?
Yes. Scroll past the Schedule to the Locations List. It shares the map's search, has the same filters, and has its own Show only where M&N will be.
It starts sorted by distance from our current or next plan; you can also sort by Best match / A–Z, By type, Where we'll be first, or Nearest first.
Tap a row for details, directions and the website. Show 20 more loads the next 20.
What are the numbered circles on the map?
Each one is a group of places close together. Tap it to zoom in and see them all. The places where we'll be always show on their own, with a gold ring.
More detail: On a computer, hover over a circle to preview the names inside. Zoom in far enough and every place stands alone.
With Display Location Names on, names beside crowded pins hide until you zoom in.
3. Find us
How do I see what's near where I'm staying?
Already there? Tap the search bar, then Use my current location (your phone asks first, and your location stays on your phone). Planning from home? Paste your full street address with ZIP code, then tap Show places near it. You'll see a 1-mile ring and walking times.
More detail: If you tap Don't Allow, that's fine; type the address instead. If you're more than 50 miles away, the map suggests using your hotel's street address, since you're not in Nashville yet. If location won't work inside Instagram or Facebook, open the page in Safari or Chrome. Your typed address is saved only on that phone (it reappears as Near "…" next time); Clear address forgets it, while the × on a What's-nearby spot keeps it. Once your spot is set, every place shows its distance, walking minutes appear for places up to 3 miles away (about 20 minutes a mile), and the Locations List sorts nearest first, with a divider at 1 mile.
What does What's nearby do?
It treats that place as your spot: the 1-mile ring, the distances and the nearest-first list all center on it. You'll find it on every map card, Schedule plan and List row.
4. Get there
How do I get directions?
Tap any place on the map, or any plan in the Schedule, then tap Get directions and pick Apple Maps or Google Maps. Copy address is there too. If you've set your own address, directions start from there.
More detail: On an iPhone, iPad or Mac, Apple Maps is listed first. Either choice opens the app if you have it, or your browser if you don't.
If you're exploring around a place with What's nearby, directions start from that place. Each place also shows its website (Website →), its phone number (tap to call) and, when we know it, whether it takes reservations.
5. If the map gets confusing
The map won't move, looks empty, or I'm lost. Help?
On a phone, move the map with two fingers; one finger scrolls the page. Tap Locate (top right) to bring the places back into view; tap again to get closer. Home returns to the starting view. Hide Map at the very top tucks the map away.
More detail: Locate works in three taps: every matching place, then closer, then the busiest spot. If the map says No pins in this view, tap Locate there too. Home only moves the map; your filters, search and spot stay as they are. To undo those, use Clear on the chips at the bottom, or All in Filters. On a computer, drag to move the map and hold Ctrl (⌘ on a Mac) while scrolling to zoom; plain scrolling moves the page.
How do I tilt, turn or flatten the map?
The tilt button (top right) steps through the angles. On a phone the map starts at Flat (default): taps go Tilt 45°, Horizon 60°, Immersive 80°, then back to Flat, and double-tap or hold returns to Flat. On a computer it starts at Default 45°: taps go Horizon 60°, Immersive 80°, Flat, and double-tap or hold returns to Default. On a phone you can also twist two fingers to turn the map and use three fingers to tilt it; on a computer, right-click and drag to tilt or turn. The compass turns the map back to north. If 3D buildings make an older phone sluggish, turn off Show 3D buildings and trees under Details.
The map won't load. Now what?
Refresh the page, or open it in Safari or Chrome instead of inside Facebook, Instagram or another app. The Schedule and the Locations List below the map still work, and every time and place is listed at the top of this page.
More detail: You might see "Still loading the map background…", "The map background could not load. Please refresh the page." or "This browser can't display the interactive map." They all point the same way: refresh, or switch to an up-to-date Safari or Chrome. If the map looks plainer and flatter than usual, a simpler map style loaded instead, and everything still works.
Text too small?
In Safari, tap the page menu in the address bar (aA), then tap the larger A until it's comfortable. Your phone's Larger Text setting won't change the map's text.
What are the menu and the ⓘ buttons?
The menu button (☰) opens and closes a column with Filters, Details and Legend; on a phone it starts open. Each panel, and the options inside it, has an ⓘ button: tap it for a short explanation, and tap again to close it. The ⓘ beside the Hide buttons at the very top explains showing and hiding sections. The Legend is the key to every symbol on the map.
